Jennifer Cooke is a freelance illustrator based north of Belfast, on the Antrim Coast of Northern Ireland.

Jennifer is continually inspired by the wonder of the natural world, often depicting local flora and fauna in her work, and the human connection to them. She loves to work traditionally with mixed media, especially ink and watercolour, resulting in illustrations which are delicate, painterly, and expressive, showing the maker’s mark.

Lately, Jennifer has been exploring making ink and paint from foraged materials in an effort to practice sustainability, slowing down, and engaging with the natural world - further promoting a sense of place and belonging in her work.
